It's the Aussie dream: have a beer and do some good

 

A new charity is tapping into Australians' dual love of doing good and drinking beer. The idea of Charity Tap is that pub patrons buy a beer, and part of the price goes to projects for the disadvantaged.

Co-owner of the 56 Bricks bar Chace​ Harty​ donated $1 from every $10 pint of Monteith beer. He said the tap would attract customers and be a good look for the business, particularly on social media.

"A lot of people appreciate the fact that you're [as a bar] giving back and you're not just take, take, take."
